*Verona, Italy. 2020
Verona is once again under the rule of the family, a relative has never strayed from Italy let alone Verona which left no arguments for claim of the throne.
Verona is one of the Italy's most beautiful cities. Sure it doesn't have the beautiful water streets that Venice has or the beautiful rolling mountains that is the Palermo country side. But it's the history that has tourists flocking her every year. Not only was Verona mentioned in one of Shakespeare's plays but it was one of the last cities to dissolve the monarch government. Rarely do you see natives moving to go else where and new comers staying for more then their vacations. It is a tight but highly populated city with old family ties still strong.
So it's wasn't a surprise when the royal family, the Martonis, picked up where they left off. Everything was put into place, the only heir; Lucrezia was being molded into what would be the perfect queen which meant getting her a suitor.
When everything was finally smoothed out, the Ferraro family was soon moved to the bottom of the pecking order like they were many years ago. This caused a riff between the two families, one that only formed because of the equality between them for so many years.
Santino Ferraro, a simple 'servant' in the Martoni court does his job in vain hoping one day that the monarch will be demolished once again. Until the day he lays eyes on Lucrezia he loathes his employers. Lucrezia feels quite the same happy with her suitor until she lays eyes on Santino.
It seems the two are mirroring Shakespeare's star crossed lovers Romeo & Juliet, but will their story end in the same fate? Only time will tell.
