Isabella Marie Cullen
You will never know true happiness until you have truly loved, and you will never understand what pain really is until you have lost it. Bella lay in her large bed quietly, her eyes closed and her mind racing; staying on one thought for a moment. Edward, Edward, Renesmee, Charlie, Florida, Edward, Forks, Isle Esme, Edward; her thoughts raced at such a speed that if not for the fact that her new ‘vampire’ mind could keep up, she would have most likely confused herself. That was something only Bella could succeed at. But she knew the true reason behind the jumble of thoughts racing through her head; deep down she knew that she’d been secretly attempting to distract herself.
Slowly, the eighteen year old vampire opened her eyes. She looked out the window to see the sun just begining to set. Hmm, sun, no rain? No, there were the clouds, just a few minutes away…The sun was a rare sight here in the small town of Forks. A soft sigh escaped Bella’s lips at the mere thought of the small town in Washington. Still, the sun was a rare thing to see to in this town, and Bella enjoyed every minute of it, especially since it would disappear sooner than she would like. It was true that she was getting along better with nature, though the whole 'friend' issue was still up in the air. She didn't hate it though, no, she didn't hate it at all.
Bella crawled out of bed when the clouds covered up the sun. She did not wait to see if it would begin to rain. Instead she pulled her hair up into a ponytail and began walking over to the door. She smiled for a moment when she realized that Edward was supposed to get home tonight. She missed him a lot. Over the weekend he’d gone on a hunting trip without her, something that didn’t happen very often. It had been nearly torturous for Bella.
She looked for a second at her left hand where his mother's ring, now welded one piece with a simple white gold wedding band, adorned her left ring finger where she knew it would remain for the rest of eternity. The idea of facing a few thousand years didn't faze her anymore. She could imagine loving Edward when they were as aged as the Volturi were now and she knew that even when they were that old she would feel the same for him as she felt this very night standing on the bow of a yacht in the carribbean. Was this how you knew what forever meant, then? Was this how you knew what a Forever Love was?
Bella restlessly raised her left hand to her face. Biting the corner of her lip, she rotated her wrist to catch the different angles of the ring on her wedding finger. It really was beautiful, extraordinarily so. The mounds of diamonds leading to a single, oval-shaped karat in the center. Paired with its delicate gold band, the ring was classic, timeless and irreplaceable. It had once belonged to Elizabeth Masen, Edwards mother. How could one ring signify so much and create such an elaborate amount of drama. Darkness continued to creep up as Bella dropped her arm. The anticipation was killing her. Bella never wore jewelry before now and it seemed she was wearing quite a bit of it. The small amount of weight that pressed against her right wrist said the bracelet was still in place. That same bracelet that held two charms, one for each of two that she loved so. Of course both were completly diffrent, Jacob Black would always be her best friend while Edward..he was her soul mate...
Bella pulled open the door to her and Edward’s bedroom slowly. She walked with a grace that she never even could have begun to dream of as a human. Moving down the hallway she then sat on the couch in the living room, lights out, television off, but soft music playing in the background. She was still getting use to life as a vampire, never tiring or eating. It was certainly a life that she loved, especially now that she had Edward and Renesmee. She had the perfect life, save for the fact that she couldn't see her family anymore. Though, she had gained a whole new family and for that, she was grateful. The Cullen's were the best family she could have asked for, and Jake was going to be a part of that, even if she was still having a hard time accepting that he had imprinted on her little girl.
Closing her eyes, she let the soft music wash over her, relaxing her as she thought about her husband and family. Edward was the best man she could have asked for, loving every little thing about him. From his smile, to his eyes, to his quirky personality. Not hearing anything except for the rustle of the wind outside, she knew that he was near. The best time in the whole world was at night, when everyone else was in bed, or at least, pretending to be in bed and her perfect little family was alone together. Nessie was tucked into bed, sleeping peacefully while the lullaby played softly. Her husband had composed the song himself, and their little girl went to sleep to it every night. The song was like a security blanket for both of them. Every night she listened for the song to play so that she could be reassured that her little girl was safe in her bed. She was always worried about their little girl, even more so now that Jake had imprinted on her. She didn't know what to think of that since Renesmee would always be that little girl in her arms who depended on her to make everything okay. Yes, she knew that she was "aging" rapidly, but she was the mother and mothers worried about their children. She always would. Just like she would always worry about her husband.

Edward Anthony-Masen Cullen How does she know? Do you take her out dancing just so you can hold her close Concentrating hard Edward could hear Emmett’s snarls and a grizzle’s growl but that wasn’t where his attention was. He was crouched in a hunting position as he watched a mountain lion in the distance; Edward was waiting for the lion to notice him waiting for the wind so that he could have a chase. Once the wind blew and the lion took off Edward gave him a good head start then took off, the chase and kill didn’t last long. Soon he was back sitting on a rock waiting for Emmett to finish with his kill, “Stop playing with your food, so we can get going.”
He groaned while his thumb moved the wedding band around on his finger. Edward saw the smirk form on his brother’s lips and tuned him out since he already heard the sex joke in his thoughts. It was like that all weekend. Whenever Edward made a comment about going back to Forks, Emmett cracked one of his sex jokes. Sure Edward could fight fire with fire, but he’d have to dig through his mind and he already knew too much about his sibling’s relationship then he cared to know. That thought made his shudder on the rock he was sitting on. The longer Emmett took the more restless Edward got, at one point thinking about taking the bear down himself. But that would cause Emmett to go out and find another one and he’d be here longer. “Finally” He said at his brother’s as soon as he’d finished. It wasn’t long after that that the two of them were running back through the northern woods, they’d followed a trail a few miles of the American-Canadian board hunting there for the weekend, it was great spot for each of their favourite animals. A weekend hunting trip with Emmett was something the two usually did once a month until recent. Edward didn’t want to leave Bella once she moved to Forks, afraid that something would happen to her that would take her away from him. Even now that she was vampire he didn’t want to leave her, despite having being able to protect herself quite well. But it wasn’t just Bella now that made him not want to leave her side, it was the fact that they were both parents now and he had another person in his life that he felt the need to protect. Even if it was unneeded since Bella was now a vampire and Renesmee had Jacob. That fact had taken him some getting use to, but wanting to make his daughter happy he didn’t protest it. But that isn’t to say that he didn’t enjoy Bella’s reaction when she found out that Jacob imprinted on their little girl, though it was a relief knowing that Jacob would no longer be trying to prove that he was better for Bella then Edward. There was no hiding his happiness with that, but now everyone was on good terms, at least conversations could happen without some one being named a bloodsucker or a mongrel. It made things a lot easier and he could the way it pleased Bella that her best friend was still in the picture and that was all Edward wanted, Bella to be happy. He had to keep his speed in check as he and Emmett ran through the woods, not wanting to just leave his brother in the woods while he trotted off to see his wife. Sure Emmett would be fine, if a grizzle couldn’t take the guy down (now that he was a vampire) but it would be rude and Emmett would find some way to use that in one of his up and coming jokes that Edward could see forming in his brother’s thoughts causing him to roll his eyes. He gave Emmett a rough nudge to stop the joke before he could articulate it, which started a bit of a friendly tiff between them as they ran and since Edward was fond of being deemed the cheater gave his brother a chance. The run took longer since whenever Emmett was caught up a short wrestling match broke out before Edward raced off again, this was often a routine for the two of them, Edward would win if Emmett didn’t catch him since his strength was more then Edwards. Though the closer they got to forks the less Edward let his brother catch him so that he would be home soon. Bidding his brother a farewell for the evening at the large white Victorian house he lived in up until he got back from the honey moon with Bella and after Renesmee’s birth. It only took him one bound to clear the stream with his running start which also landed him deeper into the wood, he didn’t have to control his speed now. His trips away from home lasting longer then an afternoon and without Bella were very rare, so when he did leave he was always concerned about what was going on when he wasn’t around. Though he knew Alice would contact him if something horrible was going to happen. But he couldn’t stop himself from worrying about his family. Before heading straight to the cottage Esme decorated for them, he did a quick perimeter check making sure no-one who shouldn’t be there wasn’t there. This made him more at ease as he did a final circle around the cottage; no-one was bothering them any longer which was a relief. Jogging up beside the house he could hear the lullaby he composed playing which told him that his daughter was sleeping soundly and Bella would be waiting for him, that thought alone brightened his already golden eyes. Passing by his daughter’s window he could hear her steady breathing and beating heart which made him more relaxed. In mere seconds he was around the house and at the font door, catching a glimpse of himself in the kitchen window. The wrestling matches with Emmett gave him the appearance that it was actually him who was hunting the grizzle, leaves clung to him in a couple of places. He dusted himself off a little bit hoping he didn’t miss any of the leaves, usually his hunting trips left him untouched by dirt. Stepping into the house he walked through the kitchen to stand in the door way of the living room where he saw his wife sitting there. It was a bit of a shock that she’d married him at such a young age considering her feelings on the subject, but he wasn’t complaining, he loved her with everything he had and more. Catching sight of the clock on the wall, he noticed he was later then he said he’d be, but then his eyes went back to his wife. He could have stared at her for hours, which he often did when she was human but being away from her this weekend he just wanted to hold her close to him. Smiling at her on the couch he made his way over to her side, at a rather slow speed for a vampire but it didn’t bother him like it usually did. Once at her side, he squatted so that he was level with her. Edward trailed a finger along her pale cheek and placed a kiss on her forehead, “I’m sorry I’m late.” Edward told her. Isabella Marie Cullen
You will never know true happiness until you have truly loved, and you will never understand what pain really is until you have lost it. Bella couldn’t remember the last time she’d been so nervous… well it wasn’t even entirely the fact that she was nervous. She really couldn’t figure out what or how she was feeling. A soft sigh escaped her nearly flawless lips as she pushed her hair back out of her face. It just wasn’t fair…she was grateful for the life she had…how could she not be. The perfect family, more than she’d ever deserved, and at this moment nothing bad was happening. In fact nothing really had happened since the incident with the Volturi a few years ago. But this wasn’t the reason behind Isabella’s anxiety no it was something else entirely her daughter held all of her attention. Right before her eyes in only a few very short years Bella had watched her daughter grow from a baby to a beautiful young woman.
She as well as Edward and the rest of her family had done absolutly everything in their power to give Renesmee the perfect childhood. Isabella believed that her child had received all that she could give her. It was just that she wished that it could have lasted longer… Letting out a groan, Bella laid back, her legs straightening so her feet hung over the edge of the couch as her eyes starred blankly at the ceiling. She shouldn’t be thinking about that when there were more important things to be dealt with at the moment and she pushed her previous thoughts out of her head. Her mind now mostly free of her worry, she felt her eye lids grow heavy until she could no longer keep them open and allowed them to close, letting herself slip into a nap like state, but of course sleep was impossible for her now.
Bella was thinking, lost in her thoughts of the life she left behind. She had seen Charlie a few times and each time was harder than the last. She missed her newly found and connected dad, but it was also for the best that he didn't see her. He would ask questions as to why she wasn't aging and she couldn't tell him. So, she just watched him before she came back home. It was mostly at night so he wouldn't be able to accidentally see her. She was also thinking about her new family. The Cullens were everything she could have asked for in a family. They were caring and supportive, loving and each one had a personality that kept her laughing or smiling. Alice was like the sister she never had. Rosalie was like the stern mother while Esme was the sweet and soft mom. Jasper and Emmett were her brothers and Carlisle was the dad she had always wanted.
The beautiful creature that had deigned to want to spend the rest of his eternal life with her, the one that had been capable of raising her heartbeat in a mere glance, was currently virtually unseen to the naked eye, though Bella knew he was there. He was everything she was not: the perfection amidst her own chaotic tendancies; the calm against her storm; the melodic tune in the most hell raising situation. He completed her. Those months apart, when the Cullens had left Forks, left her, Bella had ceased to live anymore. Her days were long and empty, filld with mere trivialities that only served to take up units of time within the day until the entire process had repeated itself the next day. Never again had the brunette ever considered they would return to the scene and intrude on her life once more in what was perhaps the most auspicious manner possible.
Slowly, the eighteen year old vampire opened her eyes. She then sat up on the couch once again. She looked for a second at her left hand where his mother's ring, now welded one piece with a simple white gold wedding band, adorned her left ring finger where she knew it would remain for the rest of eternity. Of course both were completly diffrent, Jacob Black would always be her best friend while Edward..he was her soul mate...
Then the one person who meant the world to her...the one she'd give up the world for walked in to the living room. In that moment..everything else wasn’t forgotten; simply pushed to the back of her mind. Edward like always had all of her attention without even trying. She wanted to get up and go to him, When her eyes locked on his too perfect golden ones, a smile lit up her entire face. Bella was barely conscious of anything else in the room as he made her way across the living room. Closing the space between them; all she saw was Edward’s face. It blocked her entire vision, and filled up her mind. Wrapping her arms around him, she turned her body. She was not ashamed to cling to him, her arms wrapped around his shoulders, her fingers brushing lightly through his soft hair. "I missed you.." Was all she could say before she brought her lips to his.
